Wow, it has been a busy day at my cross stitch shop. Lots of orders and people looking around. In just a few hours it will be 2008. Seems like I just got used to writing 2007 and now it going to change again. I wish all my customers a Happy New Year and God bless.
The holidays are almost over and the kids will be back to school Wednesday. I like to write, so I thought I’d take a stab at blogging. It’s a new year at Julie’s Cross Stitch. My store has been dedicated to cross stitch exclusively for almost two years now. This year, I plan to add several other needle crafts like needlepoint, petitpoint, and crewel. I have already added several needlepoint kits from Dimensions and Janlynn. They are all high quality products and needlepoint is an easy craft to learn. It’s even easier than cross stitch.

My Grandmother taught me to cross stitch, sew, do needlepoint, and to quilt when I was a kid. She is the quintessential Grandmother who knows how to sew, and cook. One of our favorites (my sister and I) was when she would make home made bread. We would watch her kneed the bread and cover it to let it rise. Then she would kneed it again and let it rise. Making bread is quite that task when you do it the old fashioned way. It was great.
