Cross Stitch Lighthouse, Misty Harbor
My sister just finished stitching this cross stitch pattern of a lighthouse scene. She did a great job. The frame is perfect too! The pattern is “Misty Harbor” by Design Connection. -
New cross stitch patterns, Heaven and Earth
There are a few new patterns available from Heaven and Earth. Heaven and Earth suggests stitching their patterns over one thread on 25 count Lugana or Dublin linen to preserve the detail in their designs. They are also easily done on higher counts of Aida fabric like 20 and 18 count.

August Peridot Fairy-MD122 by Mirabilia
New this month from Nora Corbett is August Peridot Fairy-MD122. Mirabilia cross stitch patterns have long been my favorite. Nora is incredible at using color and style in all of her patterns. They are all quality patterns with little to no confetti stitching. They are fun and relaxing to stitch. My walls are adorned with many of her cross stitch patterns that I have stitched over the years. The pattern is stitched on 32 count Milk Chocolate linen. A beautiful choice, and neutral. You can also easily substitute 16 count Milk Chocolate Aida instead if you do not prefer Linen. The pattern will be the same size on both fabrics. We also have all the cross stitch supplies, like embellishments and floss, you will need to complete August Peridot Fairy.

County Fair, Cross Stitch and Needlework fun!
Our county fair starts this week. My daughter loves the fair. She is very artistic and loves to design all kind of things. She designed her own cross stitch and stitched it for the fair this year. It is a beautiful rose. We turned it into a pillow for the fair. She also likes to draw and paint, so we entered a few of those for her as well.
I entered a cross stitch by Mirabilia, “Titania, Queen of the Faires”, along with two of my Hardanger projects from the last year and a Swedish Weaving project I completed as well. I will let you all know how we do!
Send me pictures of your Fair entries!

The old fashioned sewing machines had so much style.
