Friends in strange places

God works in mysterious ways.   Today when I was grocery shopping I was waiting on a bench for my husband to finish paying the bill when a woman who obviously had cancer (she was bald and wearing a scarf) sat down next to me.  I said, “I don’t mean to be rude, but do you have cancer?”  She said yes.   I said, “so do I.”  We chatted for a few minutes and she told me she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer in May.  She has been going through chemo ever since.

I don’t remember the last time I saw someone who looked like they had cancer.  It’s amazing that God put her directly in my path today.
