History of Cross
Stitch
Cross stitch and
needlework can be found in the earliest history, as far back as sixth
century BC. Needlework has been around as long as there has been cloth
to work it on. Pieces of embroidery and needlework have been found
preserved in ancient Egyptian tombs and in Medieval churches. If

about shipping rates and times
At Julie's X Stitch we have flat rates to make
shipping options easy for the buyer. For mail to the United States
and Canada it's just $5.25. This rate covers First Class Shipping
in the US which can take 7 to 10 days to reach you once your
products ship. Airmail to Canada can take longer. We also offer Priority mail for an
extra charge for US customers and Canada. Priority mail usually takes 2
to 4 post office working days. International flat rate is $12.25 We now send all
international orders by Airmail. We also offer Global Priority Mail if you are in a
hurry for an additional fee. Please take these rates and times
into consideration when ordering.

Storing your finished cross stitch.
If you do not intend to frame your cross stitch right away then you will
want to lay a clean piece of white cloth over your cross stitch and roll
it up and store it in a moisture free place. For more tips click

Butter Apple Dip
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 pkg. cream cheese
Cream all ingredients together with a
blender. Slice apples, dip and enjoy. This is a great
snack for kids and perfect for the Fall.

Christmas Reminder for
our Customers!!
Many of my suppliers take a full week off
for Christmas. This may effect your purchase from Julie's X Stitch if
your product needs to be ordered in. In stock items should ship as
usual. Orders may take a little longer to reach you due to postal
holidays and the over load of mail during the holidays. If you want your products
"before" Christmas, it is best to order
them as soon as possible. We cannot
guarantee that you will get products THAT ARE IN STOCK in time
for Christmas that are not ordered by or before December 14th.
If your product is not in stock and has to be ordered in, it is best to make your purchase by
Thanksgiving. If you are a late shopper, we also offer Gift
Certificates that can be redeemed immediately.

What happened to
Julie?
As my regulars customers must know by now, I was
forced to close my shop for a few months due to some serious medical
issues. It was a difficult decision to make, but I had to close. My
body felt like it would if I was in a car accident, but I wasn't. I have been tested for everything under the sun including Multiple Sclerosis,
Lupus, thyroid issues, Lyme Disease, heart
problems, Rheumatoid Arthritis,
Reflex Dystrophy, etc. , etc...
I am still in a moderate amount of pain, and I am working very hard on
physical therapy,
so please keep praying for strength and healing for me. Being in
chronic pain is not fun and I appreciate all of you
that have been praying for me so far. Also, thank you to those who
have sent encouraging e-mails. I have been so anxious to
re-open. I'm glad to be back.
