When designing I often listen to CNN
and while working on this angel, they announced that the body of dear
little Polly Klaas had been found. It crushed me as I'm sure it did
anyone with a heart. I gazed at the white angel and sketched a little
girl reaching out to her. I showed the sketch to some people on my staff
and they started to cry and said I just had to put the child in the
design. I made the child in a simple, flowing nightgown without lace or
ruffles. Her little arm reaches towards the angel. A portion of
the sales from this design go to the Polly Klass foundation.

Julie's X Stitch?

Recipe for Winter
Taco Soup
1/2 lb. hamburger
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 can chopped tomatoes
1 can black beans
1 can pinto beans
V-8 Juice (medium size)
Fritos, sour cream and shredded cheese to add after cooked to eat
Brown hamburger in skillet. Drain fat and rinse
with warm water to get the rest of the fat off of the meat. Put
all ingredients (except Fritos, etc.) in crock pot. Set on
medium heat if cooking all day. Set on high heat if you are
cooking for 4 hours. Serve with Fritos, sour cream and
shredded cheese on top. Great hot cooked meal for those cold
winter days.
