I have learned to
be content in whatever the Circumstances. Phillipians 14: 11-13
Most of my regular customers know by now that I was
forced to close my store temporarily over the summer due to a severe
illness. After many tests, I was finally diagnosis with
Fibromyalgia. Which is just a fancy term for being in pain all the
time for no good reason. This summer I was in so much pain I
couldn't sit up. My 12 year old son had to take care of me. After much physical therapy, I am feeling and
doing much better. HOWEVER, I am 40 this year and just experienced
my very first mammogram. Oh boy! What fun.
Unfortunately, there is a large mass in one of my breasts. I have
officially been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I will be having a
mastectomy soon. I plan on working through my surgery and
recovery, so keep the orders coming. It helps me to focus on
something besides what is going on in my life right now. For what
ever reason, I have a strange peace about this. I just know I will
be okay, even if it takes awhile. Please, pray for me. I can
use all the prayers I can get. Thanks to those of you who have
sent me encouraging e-mail already. I appreciate each and every
one of you.

Note about Surgery
added after release of News letter
The day after I release this news letter I
found out that my surgery will be bright and early Wednesday (Jan. 30th)
morning. Please keep me in your prayers. It's all a little
overwhelming right now. We may not answer e-mails for a couple of
days. Then it will be back to business as usual.

Recipe for
Valentine's Day
Chicken and Rice
2 boneless chicken breasts
1 can of Cream of Mushroom soup
1 cup of regular long grain Rice (not minute rice)
1 can of water
Pre heat oven to 350 degrees. In a covered
dish, mix the soup, water and rice together with wisk. Place the
chicken on top of the mixture. Salt and pepper to taste.
Cover and bake in oven for 45 to 60 minutes.
What people are saying
about us
I must say in all the
websites (as well as stores) you have been most helpful. The chain
stores that carry cross stitch (and I prefer the counted cross stitch)
are not very helpful -- most likely the person knows very little or
has very little experience. Inasmuch as I like unique things, I find
they only carry the 'run-of-the-mill' type.
I really would like
to see more silhouette patterns of the kind I earlier described; even
if they are not free.
I am in the process
to make your website a 'favorite' on my computer; I am not that smart
yet but I hope to accomplish that soon.
