Breast cancer survivor for 2 years!
I have learned to
be content in whatever the Circumstances. Phillipians 14: 11-13
Two years ago this month I was diagnosed with stage
IIIa Ductile Carcinoma Breast Cancer. Just a week later I had a
mastectomy at 40 years old. Chemo followed and radiation. It
is hard to believe it has been two years now since I was diagnosed.
I am happy to report that I am cancer free and feeling great. I am
even getting back into pre-cancer shape. I have lost almost 30
pounds now and plan to lose about 30 more. I am on a heart and
cancer healthy trip lately. I will be sharing recipes at the
bottom of my news letter. Thanks to all of you
who were so supportive during my battle and afterwards.
Love---Julie

Fabric
Swatches
Fabrics can be made of
many different materials as well. 100% cotton, rayon, canvas,
polyester, etc. The types of fabric also absorb the dye
differently. Linen is very absorbent and takes on color well.
Rayon, and polyester fabrics don't absorb dye as well. If you are
not sure what type of fabric you are looking for or you are interested
in trying something different for your next project, purchase some of
our
fabric swatches. Then you can feel and see the different types
of fabric for yourself without having to commit to it for a whole
project.
Cross stitch tips
A
cross stitch gauge is a great way to check what count your
fabric is. Measure one inch of fabric and count the number of
stitches you can stitch in that area. That will tell you what
count fabric you are working with. If you count 14 stitches in an
inch, than the fabric you are working on is a 14 count fabric.

Scoop a couple of spoon fulls into a tortilla and wrap and eat. Yum!

What's Julie working
on?
I have had the stitching bug this year. I have
done one project after another, averaging about two months per project.
I am currently working on "Sabrina"
by Mirabilia. I finished
"Angel of Grace" by Lavender and Lace (that rhymes) for my mother
this year. My husband is framing
"Mediterranean Mermaid" by Mirabilia for me right now to display on
my office wall. I also did
"Spring Bride" by Lavender and Lace for my nieces wedding. It's a good thing I own a cross stitch store.
