Heaven and Earth suggests that you stitch their patterns on 25 count Lugana or Dublin Linen over one to preserve the detail of the design. However, it is acceptable to stitch their patterns on any count of Aida if you prefer.  The pattern can be stitched on any color, as the entire area is covered with stitches. Charts require no quarter or half stitches, and "no back-stitching, no blended threads-just full cross stitches.
